The Bates College Student Employment Office is a student-managed division of the Human Resources Department. We act as a resource for both students and employers, being a centralized office through which issues concerning student employment are channeled.

Our primary function is to provide students with an opportunity to pursue learning opportunities outside of the classroom by obtaining a part-time job on or off campus. Jobs not only serve as a source of income, they also offer the chance for students to develop workplace skills and resume building qualities that can be advantageous for both the present and future.

Along with this, we post a variety of work-study opportunities in non-profit or for profit agencies in Maine. Information about student employment at Bates is available at the Student Employment Office, in addition to the Internet.
