General Education Evaluations – Student FAQ Checking your general education requirements is now as simple as clicking a link in the Garnet Gateway! Check your requirements anytime, 24/7! How do I view my general education evaluation?
You will see the evaluation on the screen and may print your evaluation using the Print button on your browser. Requirements that are not yet complete are marked in red. Courses that were not used toward any requirement are listed at the bottom of the evaluation. Do courses I am currently enrolled in satisfy requirements on the evaluation? Does a course with a deferred (DEF) grade fulfill requirement on the evaluation? No, courses with DEF grades do not count until a final grade is posted. No, this evaluation includes only your general education requirements. Total credits, quality points, short terms, and physical education are not evaluated here. All graduation requirements are listed in the Bates Catalog under the “Degree Requirements” header. Major and minor requirements are not yet able to be checked by this system. We will be adding major and minor checking throughout the 09-10 academic year. In the meantime, please consult with your major/minor advisor with any questions. First, check the Catalog to be sure the course is approved to count. If it is, contact the Registrar’s Office. An “area” simply refers to a particular requirement. For example, the “S, L, Q Requirement” in the new general education requirements is grouped as one “area.” |
