MICHAEL RETELLE Mike Retelle is a geologist interested in glacial and postglacial environments in northern New England and Canadian arctic. Mike has worked in the arctic since 1981 and has recently involved in projects ranging from glacial history, sealevel and glacialmarine sediments, and high resolution climate change seen in annually laminated lake sediments. In 1997, Mike began a collaboration with Dr. Gerry Bigelow on a geo-archaeological project on Norse coastal sites in the Shetland archipelago, northeast of Scotland. Mike is currently the chair of the department of geology and one of five members of an informal northern studies group, that includes faculty from both the natural and social sciences.223 Carnegie Science Hall - Phone #: 207-786-6155 Send email to:Michael Retelle Courses: Geo 103, Geo 210, Geo 310, Geo 315, Geo s31, Geo s38 |
