2013 Bates Summer Scholars Program Schedule

June 23 – August 3

The Bates Summer Scholars Program begins with a welcome dinner on the evening of Sunday, June 23, 2013. Orientation and classes begin Monday, June 24.  The courses are taught by Bates faculty and meet Monday through Friday during the six-week program. The program ends mid-day on Saturday, August 3, 2013.

Classes generally meet in the mornings, Monday through Friday. Labs meet in the afternoons. Organized social activities take place on Saturdays; Sundays are unscheduled and provide free time for studying, hanging out with friends, getting exercise, sleeping (!), and every first-year’s favorite activity, laundry.
