A. To remove a printer:
- Click on Start
- Click on Printers and Faxes (or open Control Panel, then printers and faxes folder)
- Right click on the printer you would like to remove
- Choose delete
- Click yes to "are you sure you want to delete..."
B. To add a new network printer:
- Click on the Start button
- Select Run

In Run type the name of the server on which the printer is located, normally either \\lincoln [administrative] or \\canton [academic] then click OK.

NOTE: It is sometimes necessary to enter the complete path in order to see the list of printers, i.e. \\canton.bates.edu Then login with BCIS\username and password if connecting via CCAA.
- Select a printer that is most conveniently located.
- Printers are listed by building and floor
- Double click on the printer you wish to install
- After it finishes "connecting"...
- Close any open windows and then repeat the steps to add any other printers you want.


C. To setup your default printer:
- Return to the list of printers, by clicking on Start and then on Printers and Faxes.
- To set a preferred printer right click on the printer of your choice from the list.
- Select Set as Default Printer.

- A small checkmark will appear in the upper right corner of the printer.
