We encourage you to schedule an interview with a representative from our Admission Office. Your interview is your opportunity to ask questions about your interests and about the application process. On-campus interviews last 30-45 minutes and are conducted in Lindholm House at 23 Campus Ave.
For high school seniors and transfer applicants
- You may interview only one time — on-campus or off-campus.
- Appointments are necessary. To request an interview, call 1-855-BATES55 (1-855-228-3755) or email (admission@bates.edu).
- On-campus interviews are offered June 13 – November 18, 2011. If you can’t schedule an on-campus interview, or want to interview after November 18, 2011, you can interview with a Bates alumni representative throughout the United States and abroad.
- For International Applicants: you can request an alumni interview via email (admission@bates.edu). In your email, please include the following: first name, middle name, last name, mailing address, high school, and date of birth.
For high school juniors
On-campus interviews are offered Monday, January 16 – Friday March 30, 2012. There will be limited interview opportunities during Bates February break (February 20-24). If you can’t schedule an on-campus interview you can interview with a Bates alumni representative throughout the United States and abroad. Call 1-855-BATES-55 (1-855-228-3755) or email (admission@bates.edu) to request your interview after January 13, 2012.
Alumni interviews
These interviews are available throughout the U.S. and in many foreign countries. They carry the same weight as an interview on campus.
- January Admission applicants must complete their alumni interviews by Nov. 1, 2011
- Early Decision I applicants must complete their alumni interviews by Nov. 15, 2011
- Early Decision II applicants must request alumni interviews by Dec. 15, 2011 and complete their alumni interviews by Jan. 1, 2012
- Regular decision applicants must request alumni interviews by Feb. 15, 2012 and complete their alumni interviews by Mar. 1, 2012
- Fall 2011 International Transfer applicants must request alumni interviews by Feb. 1, 2012 and complete their alumni interviews by Feb. 15, 2012
- Fall 2011 Domestic Transfer applicants must request alumni interviews by Mar. 1, 2012 and complete their alumni interviews by Mar. 15, 2012
- Prospective Students (including Juniors) may request alumni interviews after Jan 13, 2012
