As you know, at Bates, we take the interview seriously. The interview is our best chance to meet the person behind the credentials. Our goals, as interviewers, are to learn about each student’s passions, interests, personality, and assess how each student will contribute to the Bates Community. In recent years, as our inquiry pool has increased and demand for Bates interviews has risen, AIA volunteers have responded, offering upwards of 25% of all Bates interviews.
As of the Fall of 2011, we are using a new interview report form, located in the Garnet Gateway. This system will allow you to track the application and decision status for the students you interview. If you have lost your Garnet Gateway User ID and/or PIN, please contact the Bates Help Desk (207-786-8222 or firstname.lastname@example.org).
