Saturday February 25, 2012 8:22 pm	Fitzpatrick ’15 places eighth in giant slalom at NCAA East Championship Katie Fitzpatrick had her best carnival races to date, finishing eighth among 69 skiers to lead the Bates alpine ski team in the giant slaloms at the NCAA East Region Championship on Saturday.

Bates first-year Emily Hayes (Natick, Mass.) finished up a busy and productive weekend with her best giant slalom performance of the season, as the EISA tour made up the GS races missed at the UNH Carnival two weeks ago by staging GS races at Burke Mountain.
