The Alumni Council is the governing body of the Alumni Association and serves as the primary liaison between the Association and the Bates administration, faculty, and student body. The purposes of the Alumni Council are:

The Council also helps develop programs for Reunion, Homecoming, and other campus events, and supports the major networks of alumni volunteer efforts: Alumni-in-Admissions, Career Advisory Network in OCS, Bates Fund volunteeres, class officers, and Bates Business Network leaders. If you have questions or suggestions about Bates's alumni programs, philosophy, or goals, do not hesitate to contact the Alumni Council -- they can be one of your most effective means of communicating your ideas and concerns.
