Bates College has been shaken and deeply saddened to learn that first-year student Evan Dube died May 19 in Scotland.

The Lewiston-Auburn 911 Communication Center is a cheerier workplace thanks to two student artists from Bates.

Their adviser, Rob Farnsworth, praised them for their "dedicated commitment to the life of the imagination."
