Conway made the semifinals in both the singles and doubles “B” draws at the Wallach Tennis Invitational over the weekend.Conway, the second seed in the “B” singles draw, won a pair of matches before falling to sixth seeded Fil Marinkovic of Middlebury in the semifinals. In doubles play, Conway teamed with Rob Weller to win a match before falling in the semifinals to a pair from Bowdoin.
The men’s tennis team has finished the fall portion of the schedule and will resume the 2004-05 schedule in the spring.

Alexander scored three goals last week, leading Bates to 4-1 wins over the University of New England and NESCAC rival Williams.On Thursday, she scored halfway through the first half to give the Bobcats a 3-0 lead over the Nor’easters. She notched the game-winner in Saturday’s game against Williams, and also scored an insurance goal to give Bates a 4-0 lead with less than 24 minutes to play.
Through nine games, Alexander is tied for the team lead with four goals.
Bates will face Swarthmore in a non-league game on Wednesday, then hosts Wesleyan in NESCAC action on Saturday.
