Behind solid goaltending from Paul Kazarian ’06 (Providence, R.I.), the men’s lacrosse team jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first quarter against Trinity last Sunday. Kazarian finished with 14 saves (the majority of them acrobatic) and held the Bantams to just two goals until late in the fourth quarter.Trinity trailed 7-2 in the fourth quarter but netted three goals in the final four minutes on extra-man opportunities. The Bobcats, however, were able to control late face-offs and maintain possession in the offensive end to preserve the win.
Bates improved to 4-0, beating Trinity 7-5; it was the Bobcats’ first win over the Bantams since the 2003 season.

In the past three games Kat Farmer ’07 (Madison, Conn.), an attacker on the women’s lacrosse team, has tallied six goals and six assists.In the NESCAC opener, she scored two goals despite a 10-7 Bates loss. She scored one goal and notched an assist in a 16-6 win over Babson and scored three goals with five assists against Whittier College during Bates’ spring trip to California.
