The Bates College baseball team scored seven runs in the third inning and staved off a ninth-inning rally to beat Trinity College (Conn.) 10-8 at Leahey Field. The Bantams are ranked No. 1 in New England and No. 5 in the country.Kinsman ’05 (Yarmouth, Maine) pitched 8.1 innings, scattering 10 hits and surrendering seven runs (four earned). He struck out five and walked one in the win. |

Nason scored seven goals, including the game-tying goal in overtime and the game-winning goal in sudden victory double-overtime, lifting Bates College past No. 8 ranked Trinity, 19-18.Nason scored three of her goals in overtime and three in the second half; her first tally came 8:02 into the second half, pulling the Bobcats within one, 9-8. She was part of the early rally that brought the Bobcats back from an 8-1 deficit. |
