Jake Cox leads Bobcats at State of Maine Golf Tournament
The Bates golf team competed at the State of Maine Tournament on Friday. The Bobcats took the four low scores for a score of 332, good for sixth place Results will be posted on Husson College’s website at http://www.husson.edu/?cat_id=566
Newcomer Jake Cox (Sammamish, WA/Lakeside School) led the way with a 79, while Sam Haaz (Flourtown, PA/Germantown Academy) returned to form with an 82. Nate Purinton (Toledo, OH/St. Johns) shot an 85, Alex Jacobson (Newton, MA/Newton North) an 86, and Chris Foster (Scarsdale, NY/Trinity Pawling School) an 88.
On Saturday, the team will compete at the Colby-Bates-Bowdoin tournament at Martindale (Auburn, Maine).
