Women’s tennis competes at ITA Championships

The women’s tennis team played at the ITA Championships at Bowdoin Sept. 23-25.

Cecilia Grissa (Doylestown, PA/George) faced a tough match vs. Williams’ Alexandra Maclennan and lost 11-9 in the first set tiebreaker and then 6-0.

Cristina Chow (Carolina, Puerto Rico/St. John’s School) won her first round vs. Britt Fallon of Connecticut College and then lost to Kelly Graham of Vassar.

Liz Currie (Yarmouth, Maine/Waynflete) lost to Elizabeth Emery from Middleubry.

In doubles action Caryn Benisch (Huntington, N.Y.) and Currie lost to Amherst and Grissa and Chow lost to Bowdoin.

The Bobcats will travel to Babson October 4 for a 3:30 match.
