Men golfers compete at Point Sebago
The men golfers competed at the John Queenan Memorial Golf Tournament yesterday hosted by St. Joseph’s College.
Husson captured first place with 300 points. The Bobcats finished in fifth out of eight teams with 337 points. Also competing in the tournament were University of Southern Maine, Thomas College, University of New England, and University of Maine at Farmington.
Husson’s Lance Libby was a medalist with 70. Leading Bates were Alex Jacobson (and Jake Cox (who both shot a 79. The two Bobcats tied for sixth place overall.
Both the men and the women gear up for the NESCAC Championships this weekend. This will be the first time that tournament will be held at two seperate sites for the men and the women. The men will compete at Williams and the women will compete at Middlebury.
