Peeke earns NESCAC Rookie of the Week honors in football

HADLEY, Mass. — Bates linebacker Coleman Peeke was honored as Rookie of the Week by the New England Small College Athletic Conference on Sunday.
Peeke (Exeter, N.H.) made 10 tackles for Bates in Saturday’s 21-14 loss to Bowdoin on Saturday. Seven of his stops were solo efforts, and one caused a loss of four yards to the Polar Bears.
With 36 tackles this season for an average of 5.1 per game, Peeke is tied for 36th on in the conference player rankings. He had a nine-tackle game in Bates’ previous game at Colby, and eight in the Bobcats’ win over Wesleyan on Oct. 15.
