Field hockey team’s Anable named All-NESCAC

HADLEY, Mass. — Bates College senior forward Brooke Anable was honored as an all-conference second team selection Wednesday by the New England Small College Athletic Conference.

Anable, an art major from Holderness, N.H., scored two goals and collected a team-high four assists while serving as co-captain of the Bobcats (7-8 overall, 3-6 NESCAC), who qualified for the NESCAC playoffs for the first time since 2002.

Bowdoin College junior midfielder Taryn King was named the NESCAC Player of the Year, after leading the Polar Bears to a 16-0 record and the conference crown.
