Beckwith named Rookie of the Week by MWBCA

Bates College first-year forward Val Beckwith earned Rookie of the Week honors from the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association on Nov. 28.
The 5-10 Beckwith, who hails from Woburn, Mass., scored 17 points on 7-for-10 shooting in the Bobcats’ loss to nationally-ranked Southern Maine on Nov. 22.
She currently leads Bates in scoring average (16.0) and field goal percentage (64.3).
