Meg Coffin earns Player of the Week accolade from Maine coaches

LEWISTON, Maine — Bates College junior center Meg Coffin (Westford, Mass.) was named co-Player of the Week by the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association for the second time this season, sharing the honor with Kim Drosdik of Thomas College.
Coffin was a bright spot for Bates in a non-league loss at Bowdoin last Tuesday, matching her career high with 24 points on 8-15 shooting, grabbing 10 rebounds, making six steals and blocking three shots.
In the Bobcats’ 1-1 week, including a 78-47 win over Tufts on Saturday, she averaged 23 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 3.0 blocks and 4.0 steals while shooting .581 (18-31) from the floor.
Coffin currently leads the Bobcats (15-7, 6-1 NESCAC) in scoring (17.3 ppg), rebounding (10.2), steals (2.37), blocked shots (1.68) and field goal percentage (.571).
