Lamdin places 16th at nationals in 1m diving; 3m competition up next

MINNEAPOLIS — Bates College first-year Kelsey Lamdin placed 16th overall in the 1-meter diving competition on Thursday at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships at the University of Minnesota, thus earning honorable mention All-America honors.
Lamdin (Brunswick, Maine) finished ahead of six of the 22 divers at the meet, with 374.20 points. She was narrowly edged by Albion College junior Lindsay Brown (374.35).
Lamdin competes in the preliminary rounds of the 3-meter diving competition on Friday, with the finals scheduled for Saturday evening.
