Men’s tennis team loses at Swarthmore, 5-2
SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The Bates College men’s tennis team lost 5-2 at Swarthmore College on Tuesday, winning a pair of singles matches and one doubles match.
Senior All-American Will Boe-Wiegaard (Georgetown, Conn.) defeated Swartmore’s Zac Rodd at No. 1 singles 6-3, 6-3, and at No. 5 singles, first-year Ben Stein (Pelham, N.Y.) outlasted Adam Wallwork 4-6, 6-4 (10-8). Boe-Wiegaard teamed up with fellow senior Tristan Beach (Grand Rapids, Mich.) to win at No. 1 singles 9-8.
The Bobcats (6-7) play at the College of New Jersey Wednesday.
