Bates’ Grissa and Harris earn All-NESCAC honors as doubles team

HADLEY, Mass. — Bates College sophomore Cecilia Grissa and junior Laura Harris were named to the 2006 All-NESCAC Second Team as doubles players, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Grissa (Doylestown, Pa.) and Harris (Mercer Island, Wash.) become the first two Bates women to make an All-NESCAC team since the conference began the awards in 2001.
Grissa has played as Bates’ No. 1 singles player all year, and Harris has played at No. 4 singles since rejoining the Bobcats after studying abroad in the fall semester. Together they’ve teamed up as Bates’ No. 1 doubles team and gone 5-5.
