Boe-Wiegaard, Beach named First Team All-NESCAC

HADLEY, Mass. — Bates College seniors Will Boe-Wiegaard and Tristan Beach have each been named to the All-NESCAC Men’s Tennis First Team, the conference announced on Tuesday. Boe-Wiegaard is All-NESCAC in both singles and doubles, while Beach has made the team as a doubles player.
Boe-Wiegaard (Georgetown, Conn.) is 21-6 in singles play this year, and makes the All-NESCAC First Team for the fourth time. Boe-Wiegaard is a three-time Division III All-America, the NCAA singles runner-up in 2005, and he was the NESCAC Rookie of the Year in 2003. This is his first appearance on the All-NESCAC First Team as a doubles player.
Beach (Grand Rapids, Mich.) has teamed with Boe-Wiegaard to go 19-7 in doubles play this year. Beach is also Bates’ No. 2 doubles player. This is his first All-NESCAC honor.
Boe-Wiegaard and Beach will compete in doubles at NCAA Division III Men’s Tennis Championship, May 20-22 at University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Va., while Boe-Wiegaard will also compete in the singles championships.
