LEWISTON, Maine — Three Bates College women’s lacrosse players were among those named to an All-Regional team by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association on Thursday.

Sophomore midfielder Molly Wagner (Longmeadow, Mass.) was named to the First Team in the Pilgrim Region, while junior defender Meg Coffin (Westford, Mass.) and senior attack Shannon Tully (Needham, Mass.) made the Second Team.

The 212 student-athletes in Division III who were selected to one of the All-Regional teams are now eligible for inclusion on the IWLCA/US Lacrosse All-American teams, which will be announced on May 30.

Wagner, who was previously named an All-NESCAC Second Team selection for the second straight year, led the Bobcats (6-7) in several major categories, including goals (39), points (47), ground balls (48), draw controls (36) and turnovers caused (39).

Wagner ranked seventh in the NESCAC in points per game (3.62) and was 11th in Division III in turnovers caused per game (3.00).

Coffin was Bates’ top scorer from the defense position, with 10 goals and 2 assists. Tully was second on the Bobcats in goals scored, with 25, third in points with 27 and sixth in ground balls with 27.
