Women’s tennis team thumps Southern Maine, 9-0
GORHAM, Maine – The Bates College Bobcats opened their 2006-07 season with a convincing 9-0 victory over the University of Southern Maine Huskies in a non-conference women’s tennis match Thursday afternoon at the USM Field House.
The Bobcats swept through the three doubles matches to jump out to an early lead, then took all six singles matches in straight sets.
The next event for Bates will be the ITA Championships that begin Sept. 22 at M.I.T.
