Men’s cross country 13th out of 40 at ECAC Championships

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Bates College placed 13th overall among 40 competing teams at the ECAC Men’s Cross Country Championships on Saturday, led by sophomore Dillon Tung.
Tung (South Pasadena, Calif.) came in 69th out of 281 runners, at 28:06, on the 8K course at Mount Greylock High School to lead the Bobcats, who withheld some of their top runners in preparation for next Saturday’s New England Division III Championships. Following Tung were sophomore C.J. Murray (North Andover, Mass.) in 80th, sophomore Mike Watson (Mansfield, Mass.) in 87th, junior Alex Whalen (South Salem, N.Y.) 89th and first-year Adam Blythe (Woodbridge, Conn.) in 91st. Senior co-captain Ben Lepesqueur (Canterbury, N.H.) finished 125th overall.
The Bates men will compete at New Englands next Saturday, Nov. 11, at Springfield College.
