NESCAC names 22 Bates student-athletes to All-Academic list
HADLEY, Mass. — Twenty-two Bates College juniors and seniors were named NESCAC All-Academic student-athletes for the Fall 2006 season, the conference announced on Thursday.
The list includes five seniors — Mary Bucci, Katherine Forester, Megan Petry, Kyle Rushton and Emily williams — who are repeat NESCAC All-Academic performers from the 2005 fall season, as well as two student-athletes who have also been named to the All-NESCAC teams in their respective sports, field hockey player Erin Chandler and men’s soccer player Duane Pelz.
To be honored, a student-athlete must have reached junior academic standing and be a varsity letter winner with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.35. A transfer student must have completed one year of study at the institution.
