No. 9 women’s squash loses at No. 3 Trinity

HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity Bantams prevailed over the Bates College Bobcats 9-0 in women’s squash action Friday evening at the Kellner Center. The Bantams gave up only three games and won every individual match.
Trinity, ranked No. 3 in the country, improves to 4-0, while Bates, ranked No. 9 nationally, drops to 6-3.
The Bobcats scored two points at the No. 6 position, courtesy of junior Caroline Lemoine (Natick, Mass.), while junior Jenny Imrich (Cambridge, Mass.) won a point at the No. 8 spot. Trinity won 3-0 in the top five matches, including victories from senior tri-captains Siobhan Knight (Harare, Zimbabwe) and Fernanda Rocha (Rosario, Argentina).
Bates plays in a round robin at Yale on Saturday, with matches scheduled against Cornell, Middlebury and Mount Holyoke.
