Squash powers Yale and Williams defeat Bates women

NEW HAVEN, Conn. and WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The No. 10 nationally ranked Bates women’s squash team succumbed to No. 2 Yale University and No. 8 Williams College over the weekend by respective 9-0 and 8-1 scores, dipping the Bobcats’ record this season to 13-6.

Bates junior Jenny Imrich (Cambridge, Mass.) recorded the Bobcats’ point in Sunday’s loss to Williams, regrouping from a 9-0 defeat in the fourth set to top her opponent, 10-9, 2-9, 9-3, 0-9, 9-7.

Bates will next play in the NESCAC Tournament Feb. 2-4 at Trinity College.
