Women’s squash beats Colby to advance to Kurtz Cup semifinals

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — The Bates College women’s squash team defeated Colby College 9-0 in the opening round of College Squash Association Team Nationals play on Friday at Yale University.

The No. 10 Bobcats (18-7) advance to face No. 11 Bowdoin College in the semifinals of the Kurtz Cup bracket Saturday at 4:30 p.m. Bates is seeking its fourth consecutive Kurtz Cup as the champion of the bracket for seeds 9 through 16. The other semifinalists are No. 9 Cornell and No. 12 Stanford.
