Men’s tennis plays tough at powerful Amherst
AMHERST, Mass. — The Bates College men’s tennis team saw a couple of tough points go the other team’s way as the Bobcats dropped a 7-2 decision to NESCAC rival and host Amherst College on Saturday.
The Lord Jeffs (8-1) picked up two wins in the doubles matches, including a 9-8 (8-6 tiebreaker) marathon in the top spot. Sophomore Zach Lerner teamed with Jeff Schwartz to defeat Bates’ top pairing and set the tone for the match.
