HADLEY, Mass. — Bates junior midfielder Molly Wagner (Longmeadow, Mass.) was named to the New England Small College Athletic Conference’s all-conference First Team, the NESCAC announced on Wednesday.
It’s the third all-conference lacrosse honors in as many years for Wagner (Longmeadow, Mass.), who made Second Team in 2006 and 2005. She was also a First Team All-NESCAC selection in women’s soccer in 2005.
A team co-captain, Wagner led the Bobcats (8-7) in goals (39), points (49), ground balls (37), draw controls (35) and caused turnovers (30). She ranked third in the NESCAC in goals per game (2.60), and 50th in Division III in caused turnovers per game (2.00).
Among her better games this season were a five-goal performance against Trinity on April 1, a four-goal game in a win over Connecticut College, and a four-goal, five-ground ball game at Bowdoin on April 24.
Wagner scored her 100th career goal against Amherst on March 24, and now has 124.
