Bates women outshoot Bowdoin in home golf match

AUBURN, Maine — Bates College defeated Bowdoin College in a nine-hole, head-to-head women’s golf match on Saturday at Martindale Golf Club.

With each team’s top three scorers counting toward the final score, the Bobcats boasted the top three players on the day, carding an aggregate score of 137 to Bowdoin’s 175.

Bates junior Elizabeth Wilcox (South Glastonbury, Conn.) led the way with a 44, followed by sophomore Whitney Roller (Haverford, Pa.) with a 45 and first-year Christine McCall (Lowell, Mass.) with a 48.

Kristen Cameron led Bowdoin with a 50, followed by Lindsay Luke (60) and Amy Helbig (65).
