LEWISTON, Maine — Five members of the 2007 Bates softball team have earned Academic All-America recognition from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, the NFCA announced this week.
Players must accumulate a grade point average of at least 3.50 for the 2006-07 academic year and contribute to the team in order to win this recognition.
The Bobcats recognized were: Leah Citrin ’09 (Rye Brook, N.Y.), Katie Franklin ’07 (New Preston, Conn.), Jean McIntyre ’10 (Marshfield, Mass.), Molly Ritner ’09 (Wynnewood, Pa.) and Liz Stahler ’10 (Lyndonville, Vt.).
