Women’s squash suffers first loss of season to Dartmouth

LEWISTON, Maine — No. 7 nationally ranked Dartmouth College handed the Bates College women’s squash team its first loss of the season Friday evening at the Bates Squash Center, prevailing by an 8-1 score.

Bates senior co-captain Charlotte Gerrish (Rye, N.Y.) won the lone point for the Bobcats, defeating the Big Green’s Madeline Lurio in four sets, 8-10, 9-7, 9-0, 9-7.

No. 11 Bates (4-1) will host two more top-10 ranked opponents tomorrow in No. 8 Williams at 10 a.m. and No. 6 Stanford at 4 p.m.
