Bates student-athletes to host first Field Day for area youths
LEWISTON, Maine — The Bates College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will be hosting its first annual Bates Field Day this Sunday, April 27th, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Bates.
Bates Field Day will consist of various sports activities led by Bates student-athletes, such as soccer, kickball, relay races, and more. The aim of the event is to provide local youths an opportunity to interact with Bates student-athletes as well as generally foster greater ties between Bates and the community. It is the first event of its kind held at Bates, and is to become an annual event.
The Field Day is open to all students in grades 2 through 8. Registration will be open on the day of the event from 12 to 12:45 p.m. in Merrill Gym at Bates. It will take place rain or shine.
