Women’s rowing gets second straight NCAA bid

The Bobcats, who placed third as a team at the 2007 nationals and also won the bronze medal in the varsity eight grand final, have their varsity eight ranked No. 3 in Division III by the College Rowing Coaches Association and qualify fresh off a third-place performance at last weekend’s National Invitational in Worcester, Mass.
The championships are comprised of seven teams and each team is required to field two boats of eight rowers and a coxswain. Two at-large Eights are also selected. The following are the berths that are allocated: Pool A – one (Pool A consists of conference automatic qualifiers); Pools B and C – six (Pools B and C include independents and conferences that are not awarded automatic qualification).
