BOSTON — The Bates College men’s squash team grabbed a decisive 9-0 win over Northeastern University Friday night in the head coaching debut of Pat Cosquer ’97.
The Bobcats (1-0) didn’t lose a single game as they cruised to the win on Cosquer’s 33rd birthday. Junior Kush Mahan (Gainesville, Fla.) won in his first match after assuming the Bobcats’ No. 1 position, following the graduation of four-time All-American Ricky Weisskopf. Sophomore Will Katz (Bronxville, N.Y.) also won decisively in his first match at the No. 2 spot vacated by graduated standout Sean Wilkinson ’08.
Bates will play Vanderbilt University on Saturday at noon at Northeastern.
