NEW HAVEN, Conn. — The Bates College women’s squash team rolled to an 8-1 victory over Vassar College Friday night at Yale University for their first win this season. The No. 12-ranked Bobcats now stand at 1-4.
First-year Mimi Neal (Danvers, Mass.) didn’t allow a single point at the No. 6 position, while similarly dominating perofrmances were put on by senior captain Margot Webel (Locust Valley, N.Y.) at No. 3, sophomore Anna Hogeland (Williamstown, Mass.) at No. 7 and senior Virginia Schippers (Brooklyn, N.Y.) at No. 9.
Bates has a pair of matches tomorrow in Connecticut. The Bobcats play at Wesleyan University at 9:30 a.m. before traveling back to Yale to face Mount Holyoke at 1:15 p.m.
