Susan Harriman named liaison to Friends of Bates Athletics
Bates Associate Director of Alumni and Parent Programs Susan Harriman has been appointed the liaison to the Friends of Bates Athletics.
Harriman returned to work at Bates as Associate Director of Alumni and Parent Programs in 2007, a position she previously held from 2003 to 2004. Harriman has an extensive professional background in stewardship and leadership in the realms of academics and athletics. She has served as general manager of recreation and sports facilities at academic institutions including Harvard University, Rider University and Georgetown Law School.
“Sue is a very valuable member of the Advancement staff and she is excited about this new opportunity,” said Bates Director of Athletics Kevin McHugh. “She has already started transitioning into her role with the Friends of Bates Athletics while finishing out the year with her current set of responsibilities in the Bates Fund.”
Harriman has a Bachelor of Science degree from Springfield College and a Master of Arts degree from Rider University.
