Five Bobcats win All-NESCAC honors in women’s track and field

HADLEY, Mass. — Five members of the Bates College women’s track and field team garnered a total of six NESCAC All-Conference awards on Tuesday, based on top-three event performances at Saturday’s NESCAC Championship at Connecticut College.
Junior Vantiel Elizabeth Duncan (Topsham, Maine) won the shot put and finished third in the discus throw to take home two All-NESCAC honors, giving her four for her career.
Senior Izzy Alexander (Harvard, Mass.) won the 400-meter hurdles race at NESCACs for the third time in her career, earning her a fifth All-NESCAC award this year.
Senior Jen Marino (Methuen, Mass.) finished third in the triple jump to earn her second career All-NESCAC honor.
Earning their first all-conference awards were sophomores Sarah Ellen Godek (Gilford, N.H.), who placed third in the hammer throw, and Dana Lindauer (Needham, Mass.), who placed third in the 400-meter dash.
