Women’s golfers surge at Williams Fall Classic

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The Bates College women’s golf team placed seventh out of 12 participating teams at Monday’s conclusion of the Williams Women’s Fall Golf Classic. The Bobcats outshot Middlebury 371-381 on Monday to pass the Panthers for sixth place by a stroke, 765-766.
Bates sophomores Brigid Dunn (Milford, Ohio) and Mimi Neal (Danvers, Mass.) both shot two-day scores of 187, tying for 26th place overall. Neal carded a 91 at the par-70 course on the first day, and Dunn came on strong on Monday, shooting a 90.
Senior Whitney Roller (Haverford, Pa.) shook off a rough Sunday with a blazing 88 on Monday to tie for 34th at 194. Sophomore Tessa Pals (Wilmette, Ill.) shot a 197 and senior Krystina Zaykowski (Brooklyn, N.Y.) rounded out the squad with a 221.
