Women’s squash visits national champion Princeton
PRINCETON, N.J. — The Bates College women’s squash team fell to the three-time defending national champion Princeton Tigers 9-0 Saturday afternoon at Princeton. First-year Megan Ruth (Gladwyne, Pa.) was the only Bates woman to win a game, taking the first game at the No. 9 spot by a score of 11-9 against the Tigers’ Eliza Kontulis.
The loss marks the first of the 2009-2010 campaign for Bates (4-1). The Bobcats take on Columbia, Vassar and Vanderbilt Sunday at the S.L. Green StreetSquash Facility in Harlem, N.Y.
