First annual Bates Baseball Golf Outing to be held May 14
LEWISTON, Maine — Bates head baseball coach Edwin Thompson has announced that the first annual Bates College Baseball Golf Outing will be held May 14, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at the Martindale Country Club in Auburn, Maine.
To enter into the golf tournament as an individual the cost is $150, or $100 for Bates graduates from the Class of 2000 through 2009. Foursomes can sign up for $600.

The day will have a variety of events; there is a chance to win a new car with a hole in one. Longest drive and closest to the pin contests will also be held with prizes being awarded for first-, second- and third-place teams. An auction for sports memorabilia and other items will be held at the conclusion of the tournament.
The golf tournament also has several donor options available. For varying rates, people can choose to be a hole sponsor or a cart sponsor. Donations are also welcome.
