Crampton, Fenno win twice for men’s tennis at Trinity
HARTFORD, Conn. — No. 18 nationally ranked Trinity College edged the No. 29 Bates College men’s tennis team 5-4 on Saturday in a spirited NESCAC match.
The teams split the singles matches, with Bates winning points by senior Mike Reiss (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) at fourth singles, first-year Rob Crampton (Wilton, Conn.) at No. 5 and senior Zach Fenno (Armonk, N.Y.) at sixth singles, all in straight sets. In doubles, Crampton and Fenno teamed up to defeat Charles McConnell and David Dessau at No. 3.
Bates (9-5, 3-3 NESCAC) will play another NESCAC match on Sunday at 3 p.m. at Wesleyan.
