HADLEY, Mass. — Bates College sophomore Jenn Brallier has been named NESCAC Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week, announced Monday by the New England Small College Athletic Conference.
Brallier (Chambersburg, Pa.) made huge contributions to both wins in Bates’ 2-0 week, which featured road wins over Babson and Wesleyan.
In the Bobcats’ 12-7 win at Babson last Tuesday, she scored three goals and added three draw controls and a ground ball. In Bates’ 10-7 win at Wesleyan, Brallier netted a career-high four goals with one assist, one ground ball and three draw controls.
The sophomore attacker has scored three or more goals in four out of Bates’ five games this season. Brallier ranks second on the team in goals (13), third in points (15) and third in draw controls (10). She is currently sixth among conference players in goals per game (2.60), with junior teammate Joan O’Neill (Westwood, Mass.) in fourth at 2.80.
Brallier is the team’s first NESCAC Player of the Week since Rachel Greenwood ’09 was named NESCAC Co-Player of the Week on March 12, 2007.
