May 31, 2012	Men’s T&F/XC finishes 4th in Program of the Year scoring The Bates men’s track and field and cross country teams finished fourth in the scoring for the the 2012 USTFCCCA Program of the Year award, given to the institution that had the best combined team finishes in each of the NCAA’s cross country/track & field sports in a given academic year.

May 25, 2012	Men’s tennis NCAA run ends in singles semis, doubles quarters The Bates men’s tennis team finished play at the NCAA Division III Singles and Doubles Championships on Friday, as junior Rob Crampton finished a 15-match win streak as a semifinalist in the singles tournament, and Crampton and junior Matt Bettles bowed out as doubles quarterfinalists.

May 24, 2012	Pless takes third in discus at NCAAs; Wortham in steeple final Bates junior David Pless placed third in the discus throw on Thursday evening, his first of three events at the three-day NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, held at Fritz Burns Stadium at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. Junior Andrew Wortham qualified for the finals in the 3,000 steeplechase.
