Bobcat of the Week of Nov. 26, 2012: Molly Brown ’15
Bates sophomore guard Molly Brown’s game-high 18 points in Tuesday’s 68-54 setback for the Bobcat women’s basketball against the University of Southern Maine actually lowered her scoring average. Averaging 19.3 points per game through Bates’ first three contests, Brown entered the week leading all NESCAC players in scoring by a margin of 3.6 points more than the No. 2 woman on the list, Hamilton senior Eliza Howe.
Brown (South Dartmouth, Mass.), last season’s Maine Rookie of the Year as voted by the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association, also recorded career highs in rebounds (9) and blocked shots (2) against the Huskies.
