January 19, 2013	Women’s alpine third in slalom at St. Lawrence Led by Avril Dunleavy’s fifth-place showing, the Bates women’s alpine team placed three skiers in the top 13 and four in the top 17, finishing third among 13 squads in the slalom races as the St. Lawrence Carnival concluded at Whiteface Mountain.
January 19, 2013	Hawkins’ play sends women’s hoops past Wesleyan Brianna Hawkins’ putback beat the final buzzer to lift the Bates College women’s basketball team to an 80-78 thriller of a victory over Wesleyan University in NESCAC play on Saturday.
January 19, 2013	Men’s hoops tipped by Wesleyan, 61-51 Bates sophomore Graham Safford led a second-half charge by the Bobcats, scoring 13 of his team-high 18 points in the period, as Bates fell 61-51 to Wesleyan in Alumni Gym.
January 19, 2013	Women nipped in the end, men swim tough vs. Bowdoin Outstanding swims were numerous, and senior diver Travis Joneshad a great final home meet, as the Bates swimming and diving teams played host to Bowdoin on Friday night at Tarbell Pool. The visiting Polar Bears prevailed in women’s team scoring by a mere 149-139 margin, while the Bowdoin men outscored Bates 177-121.
January 18, 2013	Parris wins at top spot against No. 7 Stanford While injury problems with Nessrine Ariffin have been unfortunate for the Bates women’s squash team, senior captain Cheri-Ann Parris has responded extremely well in her return to the No. 1 position for the Bobcats, the spot in the lineup that she anchored in her first two years at Bates.
January 18, 2013	Women’s alpine ties for third in GS at St. Lawrence Carnival Sophomores Emily Hayes and Emily Bamford placed eighth and ninth, respectively, in the women’s giant slalom to lead the Bates alpine ski team to a strong first day of the St. Lawrence Carnival at Whiteface Mountain.
January 18, 2013	Nordic ski team has outstanding season debut in Lake Placid Hallie Grossman finished eighth overall, leading the Bates women’s Nordic ski team to fourth place among women’s squads in the 15K freestyle race at the St. Lawrence Carnival on Friday.
January 18, 2013	Safford, Brust push men’s basketball past Conn. College Graham Safford scored 17 points and Mark Brust added 15 as the Bates men’s basketball team pulled away from Connecticut College for a 75-60 NESCAC victory on Friday night in Alumni Gymnasium.
January 18, 2013	Beaulieu nets 21 as Camels tip women’s basketball Connecticut College built a 38-29 lead at halftime and preserved it with dominance on the offensive glass in the second half en route to a 70-61 NESCAC women’s basketball victory over Bates College on Friday night in Alumni Gymnasium.
January 15, 2013	Women’s squash scores 6-3 win over visiting Amherst No. 13 nationally ranked Bates defeated No. 19 Amherst 6-3 on Tuesday night at the Bates Squash Center in a matchup of NESCAC women’s squash teams. Bates received a 3-0 win from senior Cheri-Ann Parris at the No. 1 position to pace the team victory.
January 15, 2013	Men’s squash rolls over Amherst at home, 9-0 The No. 14 nationally ranked Bates men’s squash team had little trouble in defeating NESCAC rival Amherst College on Tuesday night at the Bates Squash Center, putting down the No. 23 Lord Jeffs by a 9-0 score and allowing the visitors only two games won.
